Butcher 'delighted' with Brentford job

Terry Butcher, the new Brentford manager spoke of his 'delight' at being offered the job by chairman Greg Dyke and stated his intent on helping the club make a quick return to League One.

Having left his last job with Sydney FC in February, currently employed as an assistant manager in Scotland, Brentford see Butcher as the perfect person to help Brentford rebuild and the new Bees boss himself is looking forward to starting work,

"I'm thrilled and delighted to be here," he told the club website.

"I was impressed by the board and the chairman and their plans for the club's future."

"I'm aware of everybody's desire to bounce back into League One and I want to start that process as soon as possible. I'm really looking forward to the challenge."
