With just one game left before the tables are shuffled and Brentford relegation to League Two is confirmed, the club are very much focused on the hear and now of finished the season with a win at Tranmere.

Brentford caretaker Barry Quin spoke at the weekend about his pride after gaining a dramatic 4-3 win over Port Vale and believe the confidence which his side gained from that game can be taken into next season and help the Bees bounce back to League One.

Although Quin will not be in charge of the team at that point, the man who will be, shares equal confidence that Brentford can gain immediate promotion to the second tier of English League football.

"I have some plans for the future" Terry Butcher told PA Sport,

"Every manager would love the oppertunity to put down his mark on a club, and structure it exactly the way he wants."

Butcher admitted that it did not take much consideration to take the Brentford job and said,

"I'm looking forward to beginning my role as manager next week, we need to bring in players and staff, but I believe if we hit the ground running early we can be successful."
