Butcher names Scott as his assistant

Brentford boss Terry Butcher yesterday named Andy Scott as his assistant in the clubs new regieme.

The new Bees boss announced the news on the official website stating.

"Clearly I've been keen to appoint someone who has knowledge of the lowe divisions and in Andy I have the perfect man. He also has Brentford in his heart, having served the club for over three seasons."

Terry Butcher admitted that he and his assistant have some work to do before the new season,

"The two of us have a big, big job to do and it's already underway."

The new Brentford assistant is ex-player Andy Scott who scored twenty eight goals in 118 league appearences between 1997 and 2001.

Scott stated he was pleased to have gained his latest position and said,

"It's great to be back and I can't wait to get on with the job of getting promotion to League One next season, and beyong, in fact we've already started."
