Brentford manager Terry Butcher admitted this morning that he is not expecting to do much of his squad rebuilding until the end of June and July.

Reports had suggested that Butcher is struggling to attract players to Griffin Park but commented,

"This place is easy to 'sell'. Brentford are still a big club with good facilities and players are willing to come here."

So far the Brentford boss has agreed a new contract with Charlie Ide and signed only two players and whilst he is undoubtedly waiting for last seasons player of the year Jo Kuffour to make his mind up whether to stay at Griffin Park or not Butcher said,

"Come the end of the month, the gold rush will start, and we have got to do all we can now to make sure the options we offer can compete. We've compiled lots of lists and made many enquires but clubs are unwilling to do business until they have made their own plays."

Terry admitted the he is not worried about increasing the size of his Brentford squad and said before long he expects to add to his playing staff,

"Between now and the end of the month, little will change."

"Clubs are often very loath to put pen to paper as contracts do not kick in until the beginning of July, while players are waiting to see what is available"
