Chairboys capture Bennett

Wycombe have signed former loanee Alan Bennett on a one-year deal from Brentford. The defender, who captained Brentford to the League Two title in 2009, spent two loan spells with the Chairboys last term and becomes Gary Waddock's eighth signing of the summer. Waddock told the club's official website: "We've been looking for a centre-back after Hinsh (Adam Hinshelwood) retired and Benno fits the bill perfectly. We know about him, and what he will bring to the group. I'm looking forward to working with him again."
