Christian Eriksen has been recalled to the Denmark squad for their March internationals against the Netherlands and Serbia.
The 30-year-old has not featured for his country since suffering a cardiac arrest in their Euro 2020 opener with Finland last June.
Eriksen was fitted with an ICD that meant he could no longer play for Inter and was released from his contract at the end of 2021, and he signed for Brentford on a six-month contract at the end of the January 2022 window.
He's been in fine form since signing for the Bees and this has been rewarded with a call-up to the Danish national side.
Denmark head coach Kasper Hjullmand said: "He looks like Christian Eriksen. I have been following him closely and was recently in London. He is fit, he is really physically very fit. His level has been impressively high. He is in a good condition, even though he is still missing some matches."
Brentford boss Thomas Frank insisted last week that Eriksen was ready to make a return to international football.
"Fitness-wise? He is ready. He played 98 minutes against Norwich, hopefully he plays 90 against Burnley and 90 against Leicester and then that is a very good number of minutes. It is not like he has never played football before or tried anything. He is a very experienced player and person," he said.
Eriksen's Brentford teammates Christian Norgaard and Mathias Jensen have also been named in Hjullmand's squad.
