City draw keeps bees boss hopeful

Brentford manager Leroy Rosenior appeared to be highly satisfied with his sides 1-1 home draw with high flying Bristol City.

One more coming from behind, the second half performance of the bees was much improved on the disasterous showings of the last couple of games and despite Kevin O'Connor's game tying goal coming from the spot, in truth either side could have won the game.

With bristol missing out on a spot at the top of the league, Leroy hopes the tide will now begin to turn on his clubs season,

"I said during the week it was going to be tough and I think my words really made the players think about their performance."

"We started off badly but once more picked up in the second period, despite being a home draw to me it is one point won, not two lost."

Saying he hoped the game boosted morale Rosenior commented,

"It was an excellent second half and I hope we can use that performance as a catalyst for the rest of the season to get some consistency going."

Singling out central defender Adam Griffiths for praise the boss said,

"I do not want anybody to some and take him but I'm sure clubs will be looking at him."

Griffiths was a free transfer signing in the Summer and in the absense of Andrew Frampton he has become the senior defender in the squad,

"He has pace, he can head the ball and he is a good defender - there are not too many players like that around at the moment.

"Adam can play at a higher level and can be anything he wants to be - but originally, we had reservations about how tough he was."

"But he played with a broken nose against Yeovil last weekend - and there are many people who would not have done that." Rosenior finished.
