Still reeling from reorgnaisation and the departure of Leroy Rosenior as manager of the club, Brentford today denied that the supporter protest tipped the scales towards the struggling boss losing his job.

Supporters called for the resignation of Greg Dyke as well as Rosenior but club officials moved to deny that the move to release Leroy from his contract was anything to do with yesterdays protest,

"The club let Leroy go purely because of things on the pitch."

"The supporter's protest had nothing to do with our decision, it was purely football based"

Sources from inside the club also said,

"Mr Dyke and his board have now made their decision and it is time to move on."

Any suggestions that Dyke himself may quit as Brentford supremo have also been denied as speculation of an 'unhelpful' kind.
