Brentford manager Scott Fitzgerald confirmed yesterday that loanee midfielder Simon Cox is to return to his club Reading as he looks to bring in some fresh faces to help the Bees battle relegation.

Cox has impressed in his opening spell at Brentford which was cut short after he sustatined a broken leg against Millwall in September. Simon then returned to the bees following excellent rehabilitation and the 19 year old has made a total of 13 experiences for the club.

Fitzgerald said,

"We can only take five players on loan at any one time, so the decision was made before today's game to allow Simon to return to Reading, in order to allow new players to come in if and when necessary."
