For his second piece of business for the day Martin Allen swooped to sign Yeading (yes, Yeading) striker DJ Campbell, his second transfer scoop deal of the summer.

Campbell impress last season as his non league former club reached the 3rd round of the FA Cup and held thier own well before being eliminated by Newcastle. He has been the clubs top scorer in all season since signing for Yeading and the boss believe the he has what it takes to do well in League One,

"He has energy, enthusiasm, self belief and most of all no fear" said the manager.

Martin Allen beleives that despite his previous DJ can be moulded into a good player for the club,

"I've no doubts that he is a scallywag and in my mind I see a love/hate relationship developing. Most definately there will be times when he'll hate be but I am confident in the future that many times, he will love me, after a couple of tricky years he's got himself going, now lets see what he can do at this level"

Allen went onto say,

"because of his playing background he will be returning a week earlier than all of the other professionals"
