A lack of first team experience has frustrated the player and Allen felt it best to give him the oppertunity to play elsewhere until he got a chance to break into the Brentford first team, hence the short loan deal.
Allen said,
"The move is good for both player and manager, i hope that he gets experience of higher level football at Reading and can return to challenge for a place in out team"
