Fitzgerald calls for Bees heads up

Scott Fitzgerald was notably dissapointed with his sides poor start against Northampton which he felt hindered their chances of winning the game. He highlighted the fact that very often when behind, Brentford do not get back in the game.

This weekend's match however presents to symetry, as Brentford just of the back of a winning run faced Bradford at Griffin Park, in the reverse fixture before their club record losing run began. Indeed an amazing overhead kick from Jo Kuffour was the last winning goal the Bees scored after being in a losing position.

Brentford manager was confident however that his side can claim something from the weekend's fixture,

"There was no way we were going to go unbeaten to the end of the season so that run has finished and it's time to go on another one," he said.

"If we play like we did in the second period, we always give ourself a chance."

The Bees manager also informed the press that he is hoping midfielder Michael Leary will be fit for the trip to Yorkshire after missing Monday's game.
