Saying yesterday that he was 'satisfied' with the performance of his players on Saturday afternoon, Scott Fitzgerald spoke today about the typicality of the result.

In the context of the season Fitzgerald said of Callum Willocks late chance which hit the post,

"They've been going in against us!"

The Bees battled bravely against the promotion contenders and Fiztgerald said that Brentford gave the home side a run for their money,

"Towards the end we were still pushing, no-one could go away and say we didnt have a go. We tried to keep it tight for as long as possible, as you never know one free kick or corner at the end might have changed the game for us - it would have been a magnificent point for us."

Looking back on the game itself the boss said,

"For 85 minutes I thought we battled and kept them at bay."

"We kept them at bay, even with ten men, and the crowd began to get on there back. I felt quite comfortable at 0-0, a lot more confortable than in recent weeks"
