Fitzgerald praises Bees

Now three games unbeaten in the League, it seems that Scott Fitzgerald's Brentford team are finalling putting together a run which is capable of getting them out of trouble.

Though the bees are still five points from safety, two wins and a draw have the world through supporters eyes looking slightly more rosey than in the last three months. During his post match comments Fitzgerald said,

"Of course I'm delighted. We could have wrapped it up earlier, we had a few chances and didn't take them but three points is all I wanted."

He also praised his side for their excellent efforts,

"For me that's the way to play football. I don't think we passed it as well as we could though."

"We shouldn't forget the fact though that things haven't been going out way recently but the players have been brave and I thought that the desire was there for everyone to see today"

Despite his obvious confidence that Brentford can get out of trouble Fitzgerald encouraged his players to continue their good work and not worry about the table,

"I've said before, we can't worry about what anyone else is doing"

"I took the job on because I thought we'd get out of it. I'm always looking forward and I think performances have got better, results have got better so long may it continue."

"I'm not going to set out my points tally, but from day one I've had it in my head. We just need to take care of our own business from now"
