Brentford caretaker boss Scott Fitzgerald was noticably upbeat when speaking to the press today about his sides plans for the next ten days. After losing to Cheltenham on Friday, the caretaker boss appears to be going back to the drawing board in a bid to help his side win their next game against Doncaster and halt a disturbing run of results which sees them placed 23rd in the League.

Fitzgerald over saw his side's game against a team of Tottenham reserves this morning before speaking to the press,

"On Monday the players were each fitted with a head rate monitor then worked very hard over three long sessions. For today's game they kept them on and it showed that they played at a consistent high tempo"

"Tomorrow will be a recovery day after the work put in over the past two days although each player has been set some work to do. Then it will be back to the training ground on Thursday to check the monitors and get back out on the pitch."

Fitzgerald was also questioned about two long term injury casualties and on Lloyd Owusu he said,

"He had a good week at Lilleshall last week and worked hard in training yesterday. But he still needs to get his fitness levels up."

Speaking about Willock Fitzgerald replied,

"He's joining us in the training sessions at the moment but it unable to be fully competetive at this stage."
