Despite seeing his side go down 2-0 to League One leaders Scunthorpe yesterday at Griffin Park, Scott Fitzgerald the Bees manager in his post match interview re-iterrated that his side still have a great chance of staying up.

With games running out and the continued absense of Jo Kuffour for the next two games through suspension, Fitzgerald believed that the performance in defeat yesterday was something to be proud of,

"We knew what we were up against."

"Playing the League's top side was never going to be easy and without our top goalscorer made it a real mountain to climb."

"We put them under pressure from the start and it still baffles me how we didn't come out of the game with anything"

Brentford's next game comes away to Bristol City before bottom club Rotherham visit Griffin Park,

"Next week will be another game we are expected to get nothing out of. But the way to get out of these situations is to nick points where you aren't expected to get anything."
