Hunt: Has this afternoon agreed to sign a new deal to keep him at Griffin Park.
Brentford manager, Wally Downes has received a massive boost ahead of tomorrow's pre-season friendly at Yeovil Town, with the news that unsettled winger, Stephen Hunt has decided to stay at the club.

The 21-year-old Irishman met up with Downes and Executive Director, John McGlashan this afternoon (Friday) and, together with his agent, has verbally agreed to sign a new contract.

Speaking exclusively to the official site, Hunt added,

"It’s taken a while, a bit longer than I thought. I’m happy to agree terms and let the season roll on”.

The out of contract Hunt had been after a move to link-up with Steve Coppell at Brighton & Hove Albion, but the ex-Bees' manager refused to pay a fee for the flying wing man.
