Kuffour just misses out on Monthly gong

Brentford manager Leroy Rosenior and bees top goal scorer Jo Kuffour just missed out on gaining manager and player of the month awards for August respectively.


After an unbeaten start to his managerial career at Griffin Park, Rosenior has gained nine points from his opening five games, a record only bettered by four other teams. The unbeaten start to the season held by Nottingham Forest was five wins from five however and it was Colin Calderwood who walked away with the League One manager of the month award this weekend because of it.

Jo Kuffour, the man of the moment for Brentford also just missed out on the Coca Cola monthly award after his four goals in three games flury as Port Vale's Leo Constantine netted five in four games and walked away with the honour. Both men will be presented with their trophies at their clubs next respective home games.
