LUTON TOWN V BRENTFORD (22/02/03)

Bees Manager, Wally Downes, has selection problems ahead of his side's visit to play-off chasing Luton Town, at Kenilworth Road tomorrow, (Saturday).

Downes: Selection problems
Already without star defender, Ibrahima Sonko, who is on international duty with the Senegal Under 23 side, and midfielder playmaker, Martin Rowlands, suspended after his sending off against Crewe Alexandra, the Brentford boss has learned that the experienced defensive pairing of Leo Roget and Scott Marshall have picked up injuries.

Central defender Roget, who only returned to the side on Tuesday, in the abandoned game against Colchester United, damaged his ankle ligaments in the icy conditions at Griffin Park and is expected to be out for at least a month, whilst the experienced Marshall, has a hamstring problem.

Better news for Downes is that left sided midfielder, Stephen Evans, should recover in time from his recent Achilles injury to reclaim a place in the starting line up.

Meanwhile, Downes is expected to give a debut to youngster, Lee Fieldwick, who has been an unused substitute in Brentford's last two away games, with Matt Somner moving into the middle of the defence.
