Managing Director Keith Dickens speaks about Rosenior's departure and the process of looking for a n

With several questions to be answered surrounding the departure of Leroy Rosenior, Peter Gilham of the Brentford official website took time out this morning to speak to Manager Director Keith Dickens in a Q and A session regarding the current situation at the bees.

Questioned first about the discussions on Saturday between himself, the board and Rosenior he said,

"There was no question of him resigning. Leroy was keen to continue the job. We felt a termination however would be best for both parties and of course we will be compensating him in accord with the terms of his deal."

"I said thank you for all the effort you have put into the role, but I was personally sorry and sad that I didn't feel things were working out."

Following the unsuccessful appointing of Rosenior, Dickens said,

"This time we are going to run and manage a different process in appoint the Manager of Brentford Football Club."

"The situation within the club has changed and although I have nodody lined up in mind as yet, we are looking for a man with certain criteria including experience of survival campaigns in professional football and a track record of finding and developing young talent."


The managing director also revealed that Scott Fitzgerald was 'looking forward' to starting his caretaker role,

"I spoke to him on Saturday and a hand full of time yesterday. I want to say that I'm very pleased with his reaction and his taking the lead. He has clear thoughts of how to stop the current freefall and I know he's planned a real fresh approach to training and preparing his first team. The squad will experience a lot of differences"
