Marshall: Leaving Brentford after four years at the club.

Brentford have confirmed that experienced central defender Scott Marshall has left Griffin Park, after the club decided not to renew his contract which expired yesterday.

Scottish born Marshall, a whole-hearted player, unfortunately suffered a number of injuries during his time in West London, joined the Bees from FA Barclaycard Premiership outfit, Southampton for £1/4 million in October 1999.

During his four years at Griffin Park, Marshall played 75 times for Brentford, scoring three times, including 24 appearances last season, netting his final goal in the 3-2 away success at Stockport County in October 2002.
