Martin Allen was in phylosophical mood on the official website after seeing his team leave Staines this afternoon with a 0-0 draw.

Allen said,

"Make no mistake the result is not important, it is the players level of fitness that is the key"

Martin believed that his players gave it everything the had today despite the conditions and the fact that the game was only as friendly. He was also pleased that several Bees fans had travelled to the game to support the team.

"I'm pleased we didnt pick up any injuries, as from Monday we will start working more on our team play and organisation for the new season"

The boss was also pleased that he had nearly a full compliment of players to pick from,

"The only concerns are over Stuart, who we know is going to be out for a while and Andy Frampton, who has a slight strain. We're hoping he'll be ok to train on Monday but we'll see how it goes"
