Firstly Martin thanked all the supporters who made last week a success at the club, he thanked his staff for their perfect work during a busy week and the supporters for their excellent turn out on both Wednesday and Saturday.

This week as the League season moves closer Allen is planning to make final changes to his preparations including the appointment this week of a team, club and also vice captain.

This is obviously necessary after the departure of Stuart Talbot to Boston, mentioning no names however Allen said he felt it was important that the players, younger ones in paticular had people to look up to and be inspired by.

The short term captain for tonight is DJ Campbell however as he will be facing his former club Yeading in a friendly Allen said,

"We'll be taking a whole group of players and I'm hoping that those who were unable to player Saturday can catch up with their fitness in tonights game."

Tomorrow sees the players undertaking double training and Allen will be visiting Brunel University to be using the latest methods and expertiese to analyse the effectiveness of his pre season on the players.

The players will be then taking the short trip to Weymouth where Allen will be faced up against his old rival Gary Hill, who he has great respect over.

Wednesday will see Allen and Adrian Whitbread taking a trip up north to watch first opponents Scunthorpe in action, as part of a scouting mission the pair are determined to be planned and ready come the beginning of the season.
