Not one to get carried away, Martin Allen admitted this morning that he was very pleased upon looking at the League table this morning that his side were top.

Ok so it's only with two games gone but the manager said,

"Of course it's early but you can't deny us the satisfaction and pleasure of being in that position"

The boss added,

"Last night brought me two firsts, my first win over Chesterfield as the manager of this club and also it is the first time that the team has been top"

Allen gave a special mention to Michael Dobson, Scott Fitzgerald and Ryan Peters, the boss described the hardest part of his job as annoucing that the three would not be selected yesterday after an excellent pre season, Allen said,

"It was interesting to see the three of them helping Dave the Kit man, helping Oli onto the pitch to thank the supporters and genuinely not showing their disapointment on not being selected."

The boss also wrote today that the players will be off today and in preparation for Monday's sky live game against Port Vale will be training Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

He also mentioned that by the time the game comes around he will have turned fourty.
