On the official website this afternoon Martin Allen spoke passionately about the events of this morning and the two minute silence which was observed by his staff and himself in the wake of the London bombing,

"It brought me great pride this morning when a man told me he has never seen such a well mannered, disciplined decent football club as Brentford"

As far as football goes Martin told the fans his thoughts on last night,

"The win was obviously morale boosting but I think the performance and the way we played were more beneficial for me and my coaching staff, the main aim of training this week has been team play and it was good to see it in action. It was also nice to see so many supporters at the game on Tuesday, speaking with some of the fans from the West Country myself and them though it would be a good idea to launch a Brentford FC supporters club in different parts of the country, if you have any ideas of suggestions such as this feel free to email any part of my team."

On his squad for the new season Allen said,

"I am now confident we have the personalities, the characters and the right mentality in our group and this pleases me"
