Martin Allen has been very vocal in the press today defending his players after the dreadful result at Bradford which could potentially cost 'Mad Dog's' team a place in the play offs.

"It's poor individual moments that have cost us dear. It's surprising to say the least," Allen explained.

"We haven't got 20 clean sheets by being lucky. This was an off day but the players will come back better for it.

"We'll regroup and I won't be popping the pills after one bad first half."

"They don't become bad players overnight. They've done fantastically to get ourselves into this position.

"It certainly won't change my belief that they're good players, and they will come back and be ready on Tuesday night against Wrexham," he added.
