Martin Allen seemed upbeat in an interview with the Official website today dispite his sides lacklusture performance in in yesterday's game.

He said,

"We didn't really start playing until 30 mins in and by that time we were 1-0 down"

"There was an amazing atmosphere at Hillsbrough yesterday and the players seemed to curl up a bit, in the second half though we played much better and I thought we were going to nick something from the game."

On monday's return leg the boss said,

"We're not a massive club theres not going to 28000 there but our stadium is small and old fashioned meaning that the atmosphere can be just as intimidating for the opposing players, I expect the ground to be full and we'll see what we can do"

As for his gameplan he said,

"I didnt go out for a draw but the way we were being controlled by them it may have seemed like damage limitation, in the second leg we'll just play our football, 90 minutes is a long time and we wont panic if a goal doesn't come straight away."
