Unfortunately Martin Allen had some sad news to relay to the fans this morning as he announced that Oli Skulason may miss the whole of the League One campaign with the knee injury he sustained in the 3-1 win over Chesterfield.

Allen said,

"Oli's injury is similar to Alex Rhodes's and he will be out for a long time, it is cruciate ligament and he also has damage to the medial ligament and also cartlage."

Allen said he has Oli in his office this morning to speak to the midfielder to make sure that he was not too disapointed, the boss admitted that Skulason will be a loss and that his injury is a blow but he believes his side can cope.

"He may not be fit to play football for a while but he is still a fit healthy young man, and with hard work and determination, he will come back a batter person and definately a better player"

Allen said that Skulason is determined to cope and deal with his problem with his excellent profession personality.
