After signing for Brentford this afternoon at about 3:00pm it wasn't long before the press were demanding an interview with the clubs new signing Oli Skularson who obliged by talking to journalists for around ten minutes after agreeing verbally a two year contract with the club.


Allen was so keen to complete and announce the deal that he left his UEFA course in Warwick early to do so.

The boss told the watching media,

"Oli is a player who i've been after for a while and as soon as I heard the sad news about his release from Arsenal I intended to make a move for him"

Undaunted by the hype which the manager has surrounded him with Oli spoke saying,

"Even at 22 I look at this as a very important move in my career, a step up from reserve football without a doubt, knowing that the manager was interested in signing me for a long time was a huge compliment to me."

The U21 Icelandic captain summed up by saying,

"You always need to improve and for me I need to prove that I am a big league player, and prove Martin right, in that I'm the right player for this club"

The Scandinavian born player will join up with his team mates on during July for the beginning of pre season training and could make his debut away at Staines Town in our first friendly.
