With just one game left to go in the League One season, Brentford supporters were given one last chance to cheer their side on at Griffin Park yesterday as the club grabbed a 4-3 win over Port Vale.

Despite going two goals up, Brentford were pegged back twice and needed a last minute winner to claim three points and say goodbye to the supporters in a fitting way.

Caretaker Manager Barry Quin hailed his players after a superb victory,

"I'm absolutely delighted with the youngsters I pitched in there who have come through the youth system and paid back my trust in them."

New manager Terry Butcher was in the stands to watch as the Bees snatched a dramatic winner and Barry Quin believes that the new man will have a lot to look forward to when he takes the reigns in a couple of weeks,

"It's been a disappointing season, but these young lads will form the basis of our future, make no mistake about that."

"I'm extremely proud of them. I just kept telling them to show pride and passion and to go for it, and they did exactly that, even when Port Vale equalised late on."
