Re-building work continuing at Brentford

Brentford FC's plans to move the club into the modern era when it comes to facilities is now beginning to take shape. Many fans had questioned whether the changes would take place or whether the club were just 'talking the talk'.

However it appears as if Brentford is certainly aiming for the 'big time' with a more professional approach next season after the ticketing and so called 'unprofessional' customer service which for so long has dogged fans experience at Griffin Park.

With the pitch coming a long nicely, a new customer service phone line and new online shop already well underway, the official website today focusses on changes which will be made to the Princess Royal pub just outside the ground. The re-development programme seems to be moving along nicely and as the pub shuts down for the forceable future today the news isn't all bad.

Work is planned to progress at a quick pace to re-open the Princess as the nearest oppertunity, with four or five weeks needed to refurbish the bar and toilet areas, work continues on a daily basis as shown above.

The planned work has been the result of extensive negotiations with a building company who have promised and assure supporters that the bar will be open on the first game of the season against Scunthorpe.

Meanwhile, progress on the clubs new shop and new reception area is expected to be completed in around two weeks ready to the Andy Scott testemonial game. Pictures of the hoped new outlook of the shop can be seen below...
