Ahead of another crucial Griffin Park encounter against Doncaster Rovers tomorrow, Brentford forward Alex Rhodes admitted that he is looking forward to the challenge of helping his club pull away from the drop zone.

Rhodes told the official website,

"Personally I am feeling good, I just want to play consistently well for the team, and get my full fitness back as soon as possible."

He spoke also about the new regieme under Scott Fitzgerald and the way in which the caretaker has been handling club business,

"Training has been great, everybody looks sharp and feels fit, nobody is down. We're all good players and Fitz has told us that."

"I think we've got a decent squad - none of the players should be in this current league position and things can only improve from here."

Rhodes watched from the sidelines as his bees side were defeated by Doncaster in the FA Cup and Rhodes spoke of a frustrating time as his side were beaten,

"It wasn't a nice game to watch and it was frustrating not to be involed. We had a couple of good chances to kill the game off before Doncaster scored."

The forward who recently returned to the club following a loan spell said,

"When things are going for you, those chances go in and when they're not, they don't. Hopefully we can take these chances on Tuesday and make them count."
