Speaking for the first time since his departure from the Brentford hot seat, Leroy Rosenior backed caretaker boss Scott Fitzgerald to turn around the fortunes of the ailing West London club.

Rosenior was sacked on the 18th November and spoke to 'This is Local London' saying,

"Scott is an excellent coach who was a real help to me."

"He can do a first class job with Brentford and I wish him all the best success in the world."

Rosenior also admitted disapointment following his departure,

"I'm obviously upset at the way things ended but I'm confident that whoever takes over can do well with Brentford."
