Scott- Bees did talking on the pitch

The triumph had added spice for Brentford fans who were angry at Stimson's refusal to shake Scott's hand in the previous two meetings between the sides following a bitter feud last season.

There was no handshake again after this match, but Scott admitted: "I didn't even try to shake his hand. I was just pleased that my players did the talking on the pitch.

"We're still looking to get to 52 points and safety but clearly we are playing some good football. We have a good squad of players who are all capable of stepping into the first team and we don't fear going anywhere."

He added: "If we keep playing well and keep picking up points and get into the top eight then that would be fantastic, but if we don't then I'm just looking for us to keep putting in good performances."
