Gottskalksson:
Excellent goalkeeper
There are only two days left in the latest Bee Hive reader poll to find the ‘Best Brentford goalkeeper in the last 25 years and, with a high percentage of votes cast, it is an extremely close call between current custodian, Paul Smith and his predecessor, Oli Gottskalksson.

At the time of writing Smith has currently accrued 32.1% of the vote, whilst the Icelandic, Gottskalksson, 26.4%.

In third place, and it is excellent to see a number of readers have good memories, is the consistent Len Bond, who starred for the Bees in the late seventies under the management of Bill Dodgin (Junior).

Perhaps the one slightly surprising aspect of the poll so far, is the relatively small percentage of votes being cast in the direction of Graham Benstead, the stopper who performed superbly in our Barclays Third Division promotion success of 1991/92.

Anyway, it is not too late to alter the final result;
