Sodje in action against Luton last season but where will he be lining up in 2005/06?
Rumours are bouncing about the press today about the departure from Brentford FC of Sam Sodje. Reports has surfaced following the end of the season that the Nigerian would be prepared to be willing to listen to offers for his services sighting 'wanting to play at a higher level' as his reason for wanting to quite Griffin Park.

Since May nothing more was said about Sodje's impending move however it written in the press today that at least four clubs are interested in the Nigerian who harbours dreams of playing International football for his country in next year's World Cup.

Sodje was a rock in the Bees team last season as we rolled to the playoff semi final and his pace and power have attracted the eye of Blackburn and West Ham, it is now believed that West Brom and Norwich are also though to be interested in bringing the player in.

It is inclear whether Martin Allen would be willing to sell but he did say weeks ago that his aim was to strengthen the squad not weaken it, so he would probably be demanding a fee in excess of the one 1 million mentioned.

The 21 year old defender was thought to be most keen on a move to West Ham but after they resigned Tomas Repka and with the current quality which Blackburn and West Brom posess it is unlikely taht he will command a first team place.

However at Norwich who are expected to be contenders in the Championship this season Sodje may play a more major role, as yet no club has made an offer for the player as we'll wait and see what the next week holds.
