Speaking to the press today Brentford central defender Sam Sodje spoke of the way he is still holding onto his dreams of playing at the highest level but will concentrate on playing for the Bees until the oppertunity arises.

The Nigerian born player has been at the heart of Brentford sucessful defensive work this season and has also chipped in with seven goals during the campaign.

"I have very much enjoyed this season, It's a shame we could not get promoted" said Sodje who moved from Margate in a free transfer move last summer.

He continued,

"I am happy here but hopefully something will happen with a big club and I am delighted that clubs have been watching me play.

"But I do not think that I have to move to the Premiership to make the Nigeria squad. If you are good enough, you can be included whoever you play for."

For his efforts this season the big Nigerian picked both the Club's and Supporter's player of the year awards.
