Leroy, dissapointed with Sodje's decision to leave but insists his sale is best for the club.
Sam Sodje, the former Brentford player of the year looks set to be the next player out of the door as it was revealed today that a fee of 350,000 has been agreed for his services with Premiership Reading.

It continues a trend of deals with the Southern club who were also interested in Michael Turner before his move.

The move comes as no supprise as wantway Sodje has never been happy since Brentford failed to make the Championship playoff final last season. It was thought that his departure would be to a club playing at a higher level as the defender stated earlier this season that he believed he had to move if he was to further his International career.

Sodje, who had five brothers playing in and around the English League is expected to complete a medical with the Royals before beginning training with them at the end of this week. He joined the Bees from Margate and has for the past three seasons been Brentford's outstanding performer. He was also selected for the League One PFA team of the year and has been capped by Nigeria during his spell at Brentford.

Rosenior said,

"It's a shame that Sam has chosen to leave but there is nothing we could do, it would not be right to keep the player against his wishes."

Sodje has missed the Brentford pre season programme so far claiming that former Manager Martin Allen had allowed him an extra week of but it is thought that he will be returning to fully discuss the move with Reading.
