The 22-year-old impressed last season after making his Nationwide Second Division debut in the 2-0 victory at Huddersfield Town on the opening day of the 2002/03 campaign, and went on to make 37 league appearances for the Bees, scoring five times, including a brace in the 5-0 home demolition of Blackpool last November.
The defender is expected to commence training with the first team squad next week after being allowed extra time off, due to his summer international commitments.
