Brentford have revealed that young attacking midfielder, Jay Tabb is to stay at Griffin Park for another season.

The 19-year-old originally signed a two-year contract in the summer of 2001 but contained within the deal was a club option for a further year, which has been taken up.

Downes: Impressed by Tabb
The diminutive Tabb has had an injury prone last twelve months, which restricted him to just one first team start and four substitute appearances during the 2002/03 campaign.

However, manager Wally Downes has obviously been impressed
and will now be hoping that Tabb's injuries are behind him, so he can blossom and cement a place in the Bees' first team squad next season.
