Martin Allen took time out after the Luton Town game to talk to communicate with supporters on the official website,

"This is an unusual time to do a message to all our supporters. I have just arrived home and would like to thank all the supporters that came to Kenilworth Road this afternoon. It was fantastic backing for the players and especially for me.

I was warned prior to the game of the hostile reception that I would receive and it was most important for me not to get involved at any time during the afternoon. This is why I was unable to show my gratitude for the supporters that travelled. I'm sure you all understand without me going into any further detail.

This afternoon the players did us all proud. I was delighted with them and then the results from elsewhere which means that we need one win to get through to the next competition. Do not be disheartened. Do not be dispirited. Keep the faith and continue to back and support our players. That is the only way.

I stayed behind after to watch the celebrations on the pitch. It was these celebrations that I want for the Brentford players."
