The FA Cup may be the oldest competition in the World but there is still life in the trophy yet. With a media frenzy surrounding the lowest ranked club left in the competition we look at the way they saw the Brentford game.


BBC.co.uk - Featuring the game on their highlights program and also on the website they praised the Bees spirit but fairly said that Charlton deserved the win and were throughly considered the better side.

Teamtalk.com - The website article featured a match breakdown and praised the Brentford spirit and the Chalrton performance. The game was viewed as an excellent match and they also gave a special mention to the Bees supporters who made the occasion very much more enjoyable.

Football365.co.uk - Commented that Brentford played very well but Charlton had that little bit of extra quality. The also commented on the enthusiasm and brilliance of the Bees fans.

Independent.co.uk - Praised both sides for an excellent game and said that it was a classic Cup tie pitting two young British managers together. Charlton deserved the win but brentford deserved more than justone goal for their hard work.

Daily Express - In a report they said he result was a fair one and that Chalrton's Premiership qualities showed through.
