Transfer rumours: Guardiola tracking Nico, Man Utd eye Dalot extension

Manchester United will not stand in Cristiano Ronaldo's way if he decides to leave the club in the summer, with their Champions League hopes hanging in the balance.

The Red Devils are also planning to trigger an extension in right back Diogo Dalot's contract, leaving the future of Aaron Wan-Bissaka - who has been benched in recent weeks - in uncertain territory.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City are monitoring Nico Gonzalez's situation at Barcelona. The 20-year-old midfielder has a £500m release clause but his contract in Catalonia expires in 20 months.

Leeds are planning to rebuff any offers for star winger Raphinha until 2023 at the earliest. The club are also expecting Marcelo Bielsa to leave in the summer after he admitted it's impossible to compete in the Premier League without absolute commitment.

Arsenal have been linked with moves for striker Alvaro Morata and midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who both currently play in Serie A for Juventus and Napoli. The former is on loan at Juve from Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed he was close to signing for Manchester City and says he still harbours hopes of playing under manager Guardiola one day.

Manchester United will have to stump up £40m at the minimum if they want to sign Monaco defender Benoit Badiashile. They had an offer for the France Under-21 defender rejected two years ago.

CSKA Moscow are looking to sign forgotten Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin on loan. Russian Premier League sides can make transfer moves up until 22 February.

Chelsea are leading the race for West Brom youngster Jamaldeen Jimoh, who plays for England Under-16s.

Crystal Palace are tracking Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez, who is valued at over £20m by the Eredivisie giants. The Eagles are also looking at Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson, who has been eyed up by Brentford.
