Confirming the unofficial reports which developed during the course of yesterday, Brentford FC announced this morning that Michael Turner, the current supporters player of the year has completed a deal to join Hull City.

The championship side who's interest in the defender has been well known during the past couple of days managed to agree a deal with Brentford today to sell the player for around 350,000.

Bees manager Leroy Rosenior confirmed the deal today to the official website,

"I am disappointed that Michael Turner has left. He had been offered a new extended contract but the lure of playing at a higher level was a chance he understandably wanted to take."

"I am personally disapointed that I've not had the oppertunity to work with Michael and by the same token Michael was disapointed not to have worked under me. However we wish him the best of luck at Hull."

Brentford chairman Greg Dyke also made a statement saying,

"The club was contracted to advise Michael Turner of any interested shown in him by a club from a higher division and thus giving that the deal agreed of 350K pluss possible add ons and a sell on clause should Michael move to a Premiership club is a significant amount of money, the transfter was granted."

Dyke however admitted,

"We were also midful of the fact that he would have been out of contract at the end of the season and could have left for nothing."
