Vine:
A return to Griffin Park?

Brentford manager, Wally Downes has been given a pre-season boost, after Rowan Vine hinted that he may make a return to Griffin Park.

The 20-year-old striker netted 10 league goals during the 2002/03 campaign, finishing as the club’s leading marksman, after joining the West London outfit on a season long loan from Nationwide First Division champions, Portsmouth, last August.

The Basingstoke born forward, who also netted a brace in the Bees’ 4-2 FA Cup First Round victory over local rivals, Wycombe Wanderers, revealed that he would be willing to rejoin the Bees, providing he does not receive an offer from a Nationwide First Division club.
