Brentford manager Wally Downes has spoken to Portsmouth with regard to the possibility of extending striker Rowan Vine's loan for a further season.

Downes: Keen to keep Vine
Downes told the Hounslow Guardian: "I have spoken with Portsmouth's assistant manager Jim Smith and he intimated they might agree to Rowan staying with us next season. But ultimately it would be up to Rowan."

Vine has already been on a season long loan at Griffin Park, and is the club's current leading goalscorer with 13 goals in 43 league and cup appearances.
