Brentford football club has revealed that Doug White has been promoted to director of the board with immediate effect.
White, instrumental in the plans for ensuring Bees United's hopes for a new stadium become reality, has been given a mandate to improve the current state of Griffin Park in the short term, whilst also helping to realise the club's ambitions for their proposed move to a modern 'state of the art' ground on the Lionel Road site within the next five years.
While a number of supporters still hold Griffin Park in great affection, the lack of facilities at the ground mean many feel that a move to a new stadium is the only way the club can progress forward.
