Brentford progressed to the Southern Area semi-finals of the LDV Vans Trophy, defeating Third Division Kidderminster Harriers 2-1 at Griffin Park.

The Bees opened the scoring on five minutes when Scott Marshall headed home a Kevin O'Connor cross.

The home side were dominating proceedings and extended the lead on 25 minutes when O'Connor fired home from 15 yards.

Seven minutes after the break Harriers pulled a goal back when Drewe Broughton headed home at the far post and four minutes later Sean Parrish missed an oppurtunity when he headed over from six yards out with keeper Paul Smith out of position.

The home side almost extended their lead ten minutes from time, but keeper Stuart Brock made a fine block from substiute Jay Tabb and at the other end Broughton headed over from a cross from the left six minutes from time.
