Brentford striker Igor Thiago has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for October, in recognition of his powerful goalscoring form.
The Brazilian forward scored twice during the month, including the crucial penalty in the 3-2 victory over defending champions Liverpool.
Thiago is being celebrated not just for his six Premier League goals this season - a tally only bettered by Erling Haaland - but also for his relentless work-rate and defensive contribution.
Bees manager Keith Andrews praised the 24-year-old as a "working machine" who plays with great heart.
Thiago is joined on the eight-man shortlist by the likes of Erling Haaland, Bruno Guimarães, and Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo.
